Ruler of the oceans, lakes and rivers and god of fresh water. Neptune is the eighth planet and was discovered in 1846. It is a massive planet with two moons, Triton and Neirid. It orbits the Sun every 165 years and stays in a sign for around 14 years. Neptune is regarded as a subtle and long-term influence on our lives.
It has been given associations with mental and nervous processes as well as spiritual and artistic inspiration. Some of the most creative and idealistic people have a well-aspected Neptune in their birth chart. Sensitivity is a word that has strong Neptunian association.
