Also known as Cronus, Saturn is an ancient Greek god associated with agriculture, the harvest, and prosperity. Saturn is the sixth planet and is visible to the naked eye. It has 15 moons: Pan, Atlas, Prometheus, Pandora, Janus, Epimetheus, Mimas, Enceladus, Tethys, Telesto, Calypso, Dione, Helene, Rhea, Titan, Hyperion, Iapetus and Phoebe. Saturn takes 29.5 years to orbit the Sun and stays in a sign for approximately 2.5 years.

The main influence of Saturn is one of limitation. It is physically associated with the skin, teeth and bones. Saturn bestows perseverance, slowness to change, and inhibition. It is very much at home in Capricorn and Aquarius where cautious ambition and practicality are virtues. When poorly aspected, Saturn tends to make us mean and selfish. In some cases, cruel, narrow-minded, and dogmatic. The power of Saturn is most pronounced in our thirtieth year, when it returns to the birth sign.
