There have been many Sun gods in mythology. The most famous is Apollo, the pure and beautiful son of Zeus. Apollo ruled the four seasons and was the god of agriculture. He was also the god of prophecy and insight.

The sign occupied by the Sun at our birth is the sign we are known by. It reflects our true nature and is associated with the heart and the spine. The Sun is at home in Leo, where its positive traits of creativity, generosity, and dignity are most apparent. When stressed, the Sun’s influence can be seen to make us pompous, extravagant, and arrogant. If the Sun is free of affliction, good health throughout life is likely.
