The beautiful birth charts that we produce are a breakthrough
in mainstream astrology and are the result of years of development.
We employ conventional astrological practices to produce highly
accurate horoscopes which we "push" through our special graphical
process.
First launched in Australia in 1994 well before the birth of
the World Wide Web, Astrographix products have delighted young
and old alike with their unique, visual perspective on an ancient
tradition for exploring people, relationships and our individual
potentials.
In early 1993, astrologer Michael Carroll met with software
engineer Brett Adam. Over a few coffees, Brett agreed to explore
the concept of developing the software that would turn Michael's
hand-illustrated birth charts into a product for the world market.
However, from the very start, both agreed that the goal was to
create beautiful, artistic products - not a "computer printout"
like so many other astrology products.
Artist Jane Thornton was commissioned to produce the astrological
artwork. Over eight months she produced the outstanding images
that are the heart of Astrographix birth charts. The love and
committment demonstrated by Jane during this period amazed everyone
involved with the project.
Grant Adam then painstakingly converted Jane's illustrations
into the electronic artwork needed for high-quality reproduction.
This same artwork has been used throughout the website you are
currently exploring by a team of expert web and visual designers
at Electroactive, Inc.
Behind the scenes, the core production systems that produce your
personal artwork in less than five minutes are the result of many
years of work by Brett Adam, Sean Woodhouse, Cameron Bromley and
Matthew Pryor. Sean in particular deserves special mention for
having not only built the very first planetary analysis engine,
but for having re-architected the system for the web.
